CMS vs TJC: 2022 Measure List Comparison

Written by Erin Heilman | Nov 26, 2021

How are you feeling today? A little comma induced from yesterday's excessive eating? Perhaps you are reading this while still in your pajamas? Ah, yes. That is such a good feeling.

I don't know about you, but this holiday is one of my favorites. It's all about getting together with the people you love (or sorta tolerate), talking about the things you are grateful for in this life and eating A LOT of food.

In the spirit of celebration, we thought we would give you a special treat for Thanksgiving.

Usually, The Joint Commission (TJC) tries to align their measure lists with the CMS programs, but over the course of the last few years things have diverged. So, to provide a comparison for you, we’ve laid out the measure lists side-by-side so you can identify where the differences lie. We included your Abstracted measures and eCQMs.

This was such a pain to pull together, so we made it into a downloadable Excel workbook for you to have. The download button is below.

Beginning with January 1, 2022.
