Medisolv Welcomes David Lucey Jr. as Chief Executive Officer
Founder and CEO Dr. Zahid Butt transitions to Board of Directors and will continue to serve as a strategic advisor
Columbia, MD, (September 24, 2024) — Medisolv, Inc., a leader in healthcare quality data management, announces that David Lucey Jr. has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer effective Monday, September 16, 2024. Lucey succeeds Dr. Zahid Butt, Medisolv’s founder and CEO since 1999, who will continue to serve the company as a member of the Board of Directors and a strategic advisor with a focus on regulatory affairs and key strategic initiatives.
Lucey assumes the top executive role at Medisolv with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the healthcare technology solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS) space. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leading innovative companies to substantial growth and profitability. He most recently served as CEO at Biscom, an industry leader in secure information exchange and workflow automation solutions for many of the country’s largest healthcare and payer organizations. Lucey successfully executed Biscom’s acquisition by Concord Technologies this past year. He has also served in leadership roles for other prominent companies, including HighRoads, ikaSystems (acquired by UST HealthProof), SDI Health (acquired by IQVIA, and NaviNet (acquired by NantHealth).
Under Lucey’s leadership, Medisolv is well-positioned to continue its mission to provide cutting-edge quality management solutions supporting 500+ measures that assist healthcare organizations in improving patient care, regulatory reporting, and value-based payment programs. He will oversee the company’s growth and the advancement of Medisolv’s flagship software, ENCOR, used by hospitals and providers to capture, measure, and submit quality and safety measures data to multiple national programs, including CMS. Medisolv currently employs 140 people, and serves more than 1,800 hospitals, 15,000 providers, ACOs, and state agencies impacting care for 130 million patients nationwide.
