Medisolv Launches New Module to Address Hospitals' PRO-PM Requirements
Columbia, MD, October 3, 2023 — Medisolv announced the launch of a new PRO-PM Module within their ENCOR for Abstracted Hospital Measures solution. This module will help hospitals meet new regulatory requirements for Patient-Reported Outcomes-Based Performance Measures (PRO-PMs) in the CMS Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) programs.
ENCOR can now capture and report the Hospital-Level Total Hip Arthroplasty/Total Knee Arthroplasty (THA/TKA) PRO-PM. Prepopulated worksheets guide users through the measure both with data elements required for pre-operation submission and post-operation submission. Medisolv’s Clinical Quality Advisors will submit the required PRO-PM data to CMS on behalf of their hospitals.
“Patient-reported measures have been part of the national discussion for a long time,” Medisolv CEO Dr. Zahid Butt reported. “Now that they are part of the federal mandate, having the ability to easily track and report these measures is essential for our nation’s hospitals. With the launch of our new PRO-PM module, Medisolv continues to innovate and deliver performance-driven quality results to help healthcare organizations nationwide improve patient care and successfully meet their federal regulatory requirements.”
In 2025, hospitals are required to submit the THA/TKA PRO-PM to the CMS IQR program. Hospitals may voluntarily submit the THA/TKA PRO-PM to the IQR program in 2024, but submission is required in 2025. By providing hospitals their THA/TKA performance rates before they are required, hospitals can better prepare and feel confident in their rates when the PRO-PM becomes mandatory.
