What’s in store for year three of the Quality Payment Program (QPP)? Last week, CMS dropped the 2019 QPP proposed rule. In addition to focusing on improving patient care by greatly reducing paperwork requirements for clinicians, it includes some major MIPS changes such as removing several process-based quality measures, overhauling the newly named Promoting Interoperability category and modifying technical requirements.
